all caught up…again

last week was horrendous for me. i’m sorry i wasn’t able to keep up with posting kevin’s today in sigma history series, but i think i’m all caught up. i posted stories and pics from as far back as oct 22 so be sure to go back. in keeping with the IHQ tradition of title inflation, i’ve decided to apply as kevin’s international senior director of technology media and public relations management, online division, internet and social networking department, blogs and web 2.0 portfolio, PhD, Esq., BBD, ABC, SWV, Oaktown 357, Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em, This is For My Homies.

p.s. yesterday marked my 14th year as a Sigma! woohoo!

Bro. William Kellibrew IV

On October 17, Bro. William Kellibrew appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to share his story about personal triumph. I regret not mentioning it here or even sharing the press release, but here are a few links from the appearance and a pic of him and Bro. Francis Hall from Kevin. Kevin’s story follows.

One day, I was on my rampage about Brothers not taking time out of their schedules to visit Bro. Hall. Bro. Kellibrew, promptly reminded me, Brother Christian, me and my LB’s visit Brother Hall on a regular basis and we sit with him and eat with him. One day Bro. Kellibrew fell asleep in Bro. Hall’s room. Bro. Hall told Brother Kellibrew’s LBs, to “leave him alone and let him sleep”

Minority Students Invited to Apply for Philanthropy Internships

Deadline: December 15, 2007; March 15, 2008; and July 15, 2008

The Nonprofit Sector Research Fund, a grantmaking program of the Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C., offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship three times annually. The fellowship, which is based on academic excellence and need, is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are members of minority groups. The Hearst Fellow serves as an intern with the Nonprofit Sector Research Fund. Through the program, the fund seeks to introduce a diverse group of students to issues relating to philanthropy, volunteerism, and nonprofit organizations. Recipients may arrange with their colleges or universities to receive academic credit for this experience.
