Crescent Cutting Room
Last week, Bro. Ron Lewis, Editor of The Crescent Magazine, proudly debuted the Fall 2005 edition of our Fraternity’s periodical. Featuring a modern, contemporary design and compelling content, you can get it online if you haven’t received it in the mail yet.
While Howard Stern fights the FCC’s censorship attempts, similar struggles were fought during the development of The Crescent. Did you notice that no author was credited with writing the “Conclave LA 2005″ article on page 8? While the Editor saw little need to edit the original submission, someone else decided to modify the original so heavily that the original author declined to have his name associated with the article. Here’s the original “Conclave LA 2005″ review as submitted by Bro. Todd Le Bon for you to compare for yourself.
In addition, Todd provided a book review for “What Went Wrong In Ohio” that didn’t make the cut either. Happy reading.

[...] Today’s post comes to bluephi.net via Bro. Gerald D. Smith, the first National Executive Director. He’s authored such emotional pieces as The Birth of GOMAB, Established Upon the Principles, and A Conflict of Models. (Please email me if you’d like copies of these docs). Just last week, I was suprised to see an email from Bro. Smith seeking some time to talk. He kept it graciously short as this bronchitis is still getting the best of me. Anyway, he forwarded me this article that I believe he’d forwarded as a Crescent submission. If you read this blog with any regularity, then you may recall a previous post of how heavily the Crescent is edited by someone not named the Crescent Editor and probably no surprise it hasn’t made the cut. Below is the bio from the doc, but read the entire article to understand how great Bro. Doar really is. Note: it’s a biggie. Lots o’ pics. [...]
