general board mtg to dos

in no particular order…

  • creating “brand” guidelines for print and online presence
  • online event registration for regional conferences
  • interaction design resources for revamped member section
  • complete list of pbs1914.org aliases
  • how much news do we want on pbs1914.org?
  • keep pbs1914.org long term?
  • do regions need their own domains?

Venue change for A Salute to Roswell O. Sutton

I got a call this evening notifying me of the venue change for the General Board meeting, Leadership Retreat, and A Salute to Roswell O. Sutton. Please note it has been moved to the Hilton Atlanta Hotel located at 255 Courtland St NE. Please see the updated information here. I was told that reservations at the Marriott would be transferred over to the Hilton on our behalf.

General Board meeting in Atlanta next week

I’m headed off to Atlanta next week for the General Board meeting on Friday the 11th. In addition to that, on Saturday, Brother Carter Womack and Brother Winston O’Neal will be facilitating a leadership workshop for the regional first and vice regional directors, state/area directors and other officers. topics include the following:

  • overview of the 7 point plan
  • building Sigma ONE chapter at a time
  • roles and responsibilities of officers
  • what does it mean to be an effective leader in Sigma?
  • managing time to maximize results
  • conducting chapter assessments/audits

The weekend concludes with A Salute to Roswell O. Sutton: Celebrating 85 Years of Service. Brother Sutton is the 17th National President, serving from 1960-1962. It’s going to be a humbling experience sharing the company of such great Sigma men.

I don’t have the agenda for the General Board meeting itself, but if I get it in time to post it I will. Regardless, come back in two weeks for my post on all the happenings.
